The Nazareth Maronite Scouts Board Members
The Nazareth Maronite Scouts are led by a dedicated group of volunteers who commit their time, expertise, and faith to nurturing the next generation. Our leadership board works in harmony with the Maronite Church to ensure a safe, engaging, and spiritually enriching environment for all our scouts. Each member brings a unique set of skills to the troop, ensuring that our heritage remains strong while we embrace modern scouting techniques.
Ghalib Safieh | Scout Leader
The Scout Leader is the primary representative and executive head of the troop. Responsibilities include setting the annual strategic vision, overseeing spiritual growth in coordination with the parish, and ensuring all activities align with international scouting standards and Maronite values.
Salim Ashkar | Deputy Scout Leader
The Deputy supports the Scout Leader in daily operations. He focuses on field coordination, supervising the heads of different age units (Cub Scouts, Scouts, etc.), and ensuring that training programs are executed effectively across the troop.
Wael Khoury | Second Deputy
The Second Deputy specializes in logistical and event planning. This role involves managing large-scale projects, such as summer camps and holiday parades in Nazareth, and overseeing the maintenance of scouting equipment and facilities.
Maysa Ashkar & Razan Safieh | Secretariat
The Secretariat serves as the administrative backbone of the troop. They manage official correspondence, maintain accurate membership records, document meeting minutes, and handle the communication flow between the board, parents, and the church.
